MECHANICSBURG, Pa.

Capt. Gene Cash, commanding officer, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center (BSC) and Tim Reeder, highway foreman, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), update an Adopt a Highway sign on Sporting Hill Road to reflect NAVSUP BSC’s 15-year partnership with the program. Sailors and civilians assigned to NAVSUP BSC regularly remove trash and debris from the two-mile stretch of road in Mechanicsburg. Navy commands are encouraged to join efforts with local communities on environmental and energy education initiatives that support the preservation, protection, restoration, and enhancement of the environment.
