Zarafshan “Zaro” Mirzaie, an Afghan evacuee, revisits the same C-17 Globemaster III that carried her to the U.S., reflecting on the one year anniversary of Operation Allies Refuge at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Aug. 8, 2022. Zaro flew out of Afghanistan in August 2021, and was the 2,311th Afghan to arrive at Task Force Liberty on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, during Operation Allies Welcome.
