A UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter assigned to Alpha "Axemen" Company, 2-158 Assault Helicopter Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade prepares to take off at Baturaja, Indonesia, on Jul. 31, 2022. The unit was transporting Maj. Gen. Stephen Smith, commanding general of 7th Infantry Division to the Exercise Super Garuda Shield 22 headquarters. Garuda Shield, a part of Operation Pathways and a longstanding annual, bilateral military exercise conducted between the U.S. military and Indonesia National Armed Forces, reinforces the U.S. commitments to our allies, and regional partners, joint readiness, and the interoperability to fight and win together.
