NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (July 11, 2022) Petty Officer 2nd Class Zack Reisinger, a member of Underwater Construction Team 1 (UCT-1) and assigned to Task Force SIX EIGHT (CTF 68), prepares the control console of a Defender Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) during dive operations at the Marathi NATO pier complex, in Souda Bay, July 11, 2022. Reisinger used the Defender ROV to aid UCT-1 divers in the inspection of buoy chains, to ensure the maintenance and safety of port facilities. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore base that enables U.S., Allied, and Partner nation forces to be where they are needed when they are needed to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
