NAVAL BASE GUAM (July 11, 2022) - Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific/Task Force 73 Rear Adm. Mark Melson visited U.S. Naval Base Guam July 11. While at NBG, Melson met with Commander, Joint Region Marianas Rear Adm. Benjamin Nicholson, and NBG Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Luckett. He toured the Sumay Marina, and received a brief regarding ongoing construction projects at Lima Wharf and the former Ship Repair Facility.
Discussions also included critical infrastructure needs, ongoing, and future military operations at NBG.
COMLOG WESTPAC/Task Force 73 is the U.S. Navy's premiere maritime mobile logistics organization charged with supplying and sustaining deployed surface units and aircraft carriers in the Commander Seventh AOR. Located in Southeast Asia, COMLOG WESTPAC additionally supports deployed U.S. allies and partners in the Western Pacific in support of a free and open Indo Pacific.
