Alexander Carr, a transmissions systems operator assigned to Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Air-Ground Task Force 7, speaks to a Republic of Korea Marine assigned to 1st Division, 1st Korean Amphibious Assault Vehicles, to sync radio frequencies for distant communication between partner nations while conducting a multinational amphibious assault vehicle launch test during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022, July 8. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC 2022 from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC 2022 provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
