220708-M-WC972-1321 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (July 8, 2022) Marines assigned to the Royal Tongan Marines board a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462 (HMH 462), Marine Air-Ground Task Force 7, during flight operations on a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to HMH 462 during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022 on July 8, 2022, on Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC 2022 from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC 2022 provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
