220707-M-TN173-1020 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (July 7, 2022) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Idris N. Turay, the sergeant major of Marine Air-Ground Task Force 7 (MAGFT-7), addresses Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion 4th Marine Regiment, MAGTF-7 and partner nations during Rim of the Pacific 2022 (RIMPAC 2022), July 7, 2022 on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Hawaii. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC 2022 from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC 2022 provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationship among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
