    27th Special Operations Wing

    U.S. Airmen from the 27th Special Operations Wing, Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, Duke Field Reserve Base, Florida, and U.S. Army Green Berets and Airmen assigned to the 24th Special Operations Wing Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course, Hurlburt Air Field, Florida, participate in a village clearing scenario during a Coyote Dicer joint exercise at Melrose Air Force Range, May 18, 2022. Coyote Dicer, hosted by the 27 SOW, integrated joint forces from various units across Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) to include the 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group Mission Sustainment Team 2, Special Operations Operational Support Medicine Flight independent duty medical technicians, the 27th Special Operations Support Squadron Opposing Forces team, the 27th Special Operations Security Forces Deployed Aircraft Response Element, and the 512th Rescue Squadron from Kirtland Air Force Base. The multilateral field exercise’s purpose is to train and validate air and ground component readiness to execute direct action and close air support missions through various training scenarios. .
