Special Operation Forces members from four different countries prepare to helocast at Tiger Island, Honduras, from a CH-47 Chinook assigned to the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment out of Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. Fuerzas Comando 2022 is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored exercise, executed by U.S. Special Operations Command South, which has been conducted primarily in Central and South America and the Caribbean since 2004. Teams from more than 20 countries in the Western Hemisphere, including the United States, are taking part in the competition, which promotes military-to-military relationships, increases training knowledge and improves regional security.
