Capt. Tina Peña bids farewell to Air Station Borinquen personnel during the unit’s change of command ceremony June 17, 2022. During the ceremony, Capt. Lawrence Gaillard relieved Capt. Peña as Air Station Borinquen’s commanding officer.  Capt. Gaillard assumes command of the Coastguardsmen and civilians, who along with the unit’s three MH-60T Jayhawk helicopters conduct search and rescue, law enforcement, homeland security, marine environmental protection, alien migrant interdiction, and counter-drug missions in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
