U.S. Navy Lt. Robert B. Keavney, New Jersey Army National Guard Spc. William J. Doyle, and Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Freddy Corniel present American flags to family members during the Veteran Internment Service at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey, June 16, 2022. The ceremony was organized by the Vietnam Veterans of America, New Jersey Shore Area Chapter 12. The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office escorted the cremains of 14 veterans and one spouse – World War I veteran Edward Eriksen, World War II veterans Filmore A. Fergusson, Joseph Fucci, Donald B. Jamieson, Frank S. Krulikowski, William N. Lutz, John J. Nelson, Anthony P. Saeea, John J. Stasik, Edward E. Tompkins and George Urbanowicz; Korean War veterans Hugh Allan Jr. and Richard D Dixon; Vietnam veteran John J. Feehan Sr., and Margaret Duda, wife of Theodore Duda. Since 2011, New Jersey Shore Area Chapter 12, has worked with funeral homes to identify unclaimed cremains of veterans. (New Jersey National Guard photo by Mark C. Olsen)
