Coast Guard Sector San Juan formation during the unit's change of command ceremony in San Juan, Puerto Rico June 16, 2022. During the ceremony, Capt. Jose E. Diaz relieved Capt. Gregory H. Magee as the commander of Sector San Juan. Capt. Diaz will be responsible for leading Coast Guard forces in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and the oversight of a 1.3 million square nautical mile area of responsibility in the Eastern Caribbean.
