U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Charles Loiacono was presented a gift during his retirement ceremony held at the 117th Air Control Squadron on Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia June 12, 2022. Loiacono was commissioned into the Air Force in 2003 after graduating from the Academy of Military and Science at McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee and became an Air Battle Manager shortly after. In his 35-years of military service Loiacono deployed 12 times and has accumulated over 3,740 flying hours in the E-8C JSTARS, of which 1,927 hours are combat flying hours.
