A Philippine National Police - Maritime Group, 2nd Special Operations Unit’s rigid-hull inflatable boat maneuvers while its occupants prepare to conduct a visit, board, search and seizure demonstration on June 2, 2022, near Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This engagement provided an opportunity for the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard Special Operations Force and U.S. Green Berets to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures with each other in an effort to enhance interoperability while sharing new ideas for maritime operations. U.S. Special Operations Forces continue to prepare for tomorrow’s challenges and seize the initiative now…together. The U.S. focus on integrated deterrence requires geographically distributed, operationally resilient, defense-in-depth, and sustainable force postures that are coordinated globally and effectively employed every day.
