U.S. Marines reveal a plaque dedicated to the 13 service members killed during the attack at the Abbey Gate in Kabul on Aug. 26, 2021, at the Semper Fi Marine Monument in San Clemente, California, May 30, 2022. The city of San Clemente adopted 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, in 1996.
