Coast Guard aircrews medevaced two people from Dry Bay Airstrip, approximately 30 miles Southeast of Yakutat, Alaska, after their plane crashed, May 25, 2022.
Coast Guard District 17 personnel received an emergency locator transmitter (ELT) alert at 3:15 p.m. and Coast Guard Sector Juneau command center personnel received phone calls from Good Samaritans reporting that a Dehavilland DHC-3 fixed-wing single engine plane carrying four people crashed.
