A U.S. Navy LT, platoon commander, USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121), holds a formation during the commissioning ceremony for the USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) at the Port of Charleston, South Carolina, May 14, 2022. The ship was named after the Marine Corps’ first African American general and aviator. Lt. Gen. Frank E.
