State Command Sgt. Maj. Max Butler of the Arizona National Guard delivers a speech to company sponsors for the 11th annual Arizona Construction Career Days, at Papago Park Military Reservation, Oct. 4. “Currently, I have taken a leave of absence from Honeywell while I fulfill my duties as the state command sergeant major for the Arizona National Guard,” Butler said. “It prides me to see all these young people here today learning the different trades and maybe even exploring the option of working as a part-time Guard member while working a successful full-time job with one of these great companies – the true definition of a 'citizen soldier.'”
