A cascading waterfall flows down a series of stepped, reddish-brown rocky ledges covered in moss and wet leaves. The water descends in multiple thin streams across the tiered rock face, surrounded by dense green forest vegetation. The scene appears to be a natural or semi-natural rocky slope in a humid, forested environment.

Many waterfalls like this line the 10 miles of trails at Sandankyo Gorge. Hikers must navigate the trails to visit some of the most treasured sites such as Nidantaki and Sandandaki, which are the largest waterfalls in the area.
