    A Special Missions Aviator assigned to the 17th Special Operations Squadron looks on as the engines of an AC-130J Ghosrider gunship aircraft start prior to flying a training mission during Exercise Trojan Footprint at 33rd Air Base in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland, May 6, 2022. The 17 SOS AC-130J conducted the mission alongside 7th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment AH-64 Apache helicopters and 321st Special Tactics Squadron Operators. Trojan Footprint is the premier Special Operations Forces (SOF) exercise in Europe that focuses on improving the ability of SOF to counter myriad threats, increases integration with conventional forces and enhances interoperability with our NATO allies and European partners.
