U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Swindell White, an infantryman assigned to 2nd Cavalry Regiment, direct troop movement using a radio during a Live Fire Exercise in Babadag Training Area on May 2, 2022. 2nd Cavalry Regiment is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's forward deployed corps in Europe that works alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces; executes joint, bilateral and multinational training exercises; and provides command and control for rotational and assigned units in the European theater. Our presence in Europe provides the U.S. military with the strategic access vital to meet our NATO commitment to deter and if necessary, respond to threats against our allies.
