U.S. Air Force Tech Sgt. Herman "Tre" Mackey III, 93rd Air Refueling Squadron boom operator, is remembered for his sacrifice during the Shell 77 memorial event at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, May 3, 2022. Mackey lost his life during Operation Enduring Freedom when Shell 77 experienced a flight control malfunction and crashed over the mountains south of Manas Air Base along with his fellow crew members, Capt.
