Dr. Franklin Damann, director of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency's Offutt Air Force Base laboratory, provides answers during the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Family Member Update Briefings held in Minneapolis, April 23, 2022. This was DPAA’s first in person family member update since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Families of unaccounted-for service members received updated information on their loved ones cases DPAA provides periodic updates and hosts annual government briefings for families of Americans who are missing from past conflicts.
