USS Anchorage (LDP 23) passes near Hueneme Pier in Southern California on her way to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division for Combat Systems Assessment Team service on March 14. LDP 23 is a San Antonio Class amphibious ship that is designed to transport U.S. Marines, helicopters and amphibious vehicles. She was commissioned in 2013 in Anchorage, Alaska.
