SAN DIEGO (April 13, 2022) Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego’s Medical-Surgical Nursing Department staff and command leadership pose for a photo during a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses ceremony at the hospital April 13. The DAISY Award was given to NMRTC San Diego’s Medical-Surgical Nursing Department staff to express gratitude and provide recognition to healthcare workers who created environments that fostered care, trust, mutual respect and continued professional development while combating the COVID-19 pandemic. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research.
