NAVAL BASE GUAM (March 9, 2022) U.S. Naval Base Guam Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Luckett met with Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Commander, Training Division One Capt. Il Masaaki during an office call at the NBG Headquarters March. 9. Luckett also met with Cmdr. Hideki Ohama, commanding officer of JS Hatakaze (DDG 171) and Cmdr. Tsuruta Kohei, commanding officer of JS Inazuma (DD 105). The Hatakaze-class guided missile destroyer JS Hatakaze and the Murasame-class destroyer JS Inazuma arrived at Apra Harbor, March 9 as part of a scheduled port visit.
