Sgt. Christian Stafford (left), 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Command Sgt. Maj. Sheldon Chambliss (middle), Ohio Army National Guard State Command Sergeant Major, and Spc. Brock Cerneka (right), 73rd Troop Command, stand during the award ceremony for the Ohio Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition (BWC) at the Ohio Army National Guard Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center, Ravenna, Ohio, April 3, 2022. Cerneka won first place amongst the junior unlisted Soldiers and took home the title of Ohio Army National Guard Soldier of the Year. Stafford won first place amongst the noncommissioned officers and took home the title of Ohio Army National Guard NCO of the Year. The winners of the BWC will move on to represent the Ohio Army National Guard at the regional level competition this summer. The BWC recognizes Soldiers who demonstrate commitment to the Army values, embody the warrior Ethos, and represent the Force of the future. (Photo by Spc.
