PHILIPPINE SEA (March 27, 2022) Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Kaimana Rodriguez, from San Dimas, California, Lt. Quoc Duong, from King George, Virginia, Lt. Kristopher Appel, from Knoxville, Tennessee, and Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Baldwin Switzer, from Ocala, Florida, all assigned to the “Warlords” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 Detachment 3, spot a capsized catamaran as seen from the MH-60R helicopter Multi-Spectral Targeting System before a successful search and rescue operation involving Coast Guard Sector Guam and Guam Fire/Rescue, off the coast of Guam, March 26. HSM-51 Detachment 3, attached to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105), is conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
