U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Lonnie Jarvis, a medic assigned to the 117th Air Control Squadron, poses for a photo on March 18, 2022 at the 165th Airlift Wing in Savannah, Georgia during the demobilization of Airmen who have been serving in the Coronavirus Response Team. Jarvis was born and raised here in Savannah and has been serving in the Georgia Air National Guard for 10 years at the 117th ACS. Jarvis was on the initial Coronavirus Response Team in 2020, and then was activated again to administer vaccines and then she was activated a third time to assist at Memorial Health University Hospital in Savannah beginning in December 2021. She served a total of 7 months on the Coronavirus Response Team the past 2 years. “As the COVID operations are winding down for me, it feels great to know I made a difference in not only my community but for specific individuals I met along the way. This experience has confirmed the overall reason I decided to serve in the ANG and it feels absolutely outstanding to have been a part of it,” said Jarvis. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech.
