220228-N-WD859-1050 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 28, 2022) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) sails alongside the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) during a fueling-at-sea, Feb. 28. Truxtun recently completed a Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training exercise and George H.W. Bush completed Tailored Ship's Training Availability (TSTA) and Final Evaluation Problem (FEP) as part of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan. They will sail together as part of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group during Group Sail. George H.W. Bush's mission is to deliver combat capability across all domains to compete with, deter, and defeat adversaries as the flagship of George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group.
