U.S. Marines with 1st Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division, fire M27 Infantry Automatic Rifles while conducting transition drills on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, March 3, 2022. This training sharpened Marines critical combat arms skills by executing transition drills and increasing their proficiency in switching between primary and secondary weapons. 1/3 is forward-deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines as a part of the Unit Deployment Program.
