A 3-D printed Laptop Lifter (aka the Tide Riser) close to completion. Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division's Codes E15 Hydrospace Laboratory and E42 Additive Manufacturing Lab (AML) collaborated to produce this solution to help improve ventilation to the division's new computers to keep them from overheating due to prolonged use. Data obtained using Forward-Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) technology measured a 15-20% reduction in temperature from the hottest regions of the laptops. (U.S. Navy photo by Eddie Green)
