Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne S. Bass thanks U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Roxana Hinostroza, 52nd Logistics Readiness Squadron customs clearance officer, while checking in on Airmen supporting part of NATO’s collective defense at Siauliai Air Base, Lithuania, Feb. 28, 2022. Airmen assigned to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, and Hill Air Force Base, Utah, forward deployed to the Baltic region to support F-35 Lightning II aircraft flying operations. The fifth generation aircraft will be supporting NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing mission for an extended period from forward operating locations in the Baltic region.
