Raul Rico-Sanchez with the U.S. Defense Meritorious Service Medal Jan. 28, 2022, at the 9/11 Memorial inside the NORAD and USNORTHCOM headquarters building on Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. Captain Rico earned the recognition for his outstanding service as the Mexican Navy Foreign Liaison Officer to USNORTHCOM, exemplifying the professionalism and cooperation shown in the relationship between the U.S. and Mexican militaries.
