Sailors from Fleet Survey Team located at Stennis Space Center conducted subject matter expert exchange and joint training with U.S. Marine Corps survey platoon off the shores of Parris Island, SC using Rapid Littoral Survey Vessel and Combat Rubber Rating Craft to conduct surveys in the local area. The Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
