U.S. Marines with Defensive Cyberspace Operations - Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) Company, 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group (MIG) salute in formation during a re-designation ceremony at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 21, 2022. The ceremony was conducted to recognize the re-designation of DCO-IDM Company to Delta Company, 3rd Radio Battalion. The ceremony symbolizes the unit’s shift from focusing solely on defensive cyber operations to being enabled with new authorities. The move was made as part of III MIG’s focus on enabling III MEF by assuring command and control, provisioning intelligence and rendering effects.
