Incoming RDML Ron Piret, Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, relieves outgoing RDML John Okon during a change of command ceremony with ADM Christopher Grady, U.S. Fleet Forces Commander, presiding. The ceremony took place in the Fleet Survey Team High Bay at Stennis Space Center, June 25, 2021. The Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
