John Gamash is the senior weather observer supporting the 127th Wing and three flying tenant units at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Gamash transmits observations containing current airfield conditions like winds, visibility, sky conditions, and station pressure. He is responsible for monitoring satellite and radar data for adverse conditions and issuing locally observed lightning warnings and advisories as storm systems approach the base.
