Members of Job Corps visited Task Force Holloman to share education and employment opportunities with Afghan evacuees at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, Nov. 30, 2021. A program administered by the Department of Labor, Job Corps has 121 centers throughout the U.S. and will play a crucial role in ensuring Afghan evacuees from TF Holloman are employed after resettlement. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan personnel essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Andrew Moore)
