Operation Allies Welcome - Operation Allies Refuge

Adrene Wike, a workforce development coordinator with Hiring Our Heroes, talks to Afghan evacuees about what should be included on a resume during a job training class at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Dec. 1, 2021, as part of Operation Allies Welcome. The job training classes go over resume building, job interviews and how to apply to jobs. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan evacuees essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan. (U.S. Army photo by Pfc. Caitlin Wilkins, 50th Public Affairs Detachment)
