Along with the Soldiers from the 60th Engineer Detachment, Tammy Simmons, a tax relief clerk, Feriha Davenport, a volunteer with the Army Community Service and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jennifer Lee, president of the Rhein-Neckar Silver Chapter Warrant Officer Association, was at the Angel Tree setup and said her chapter is on its second year of helping with the Holiday Assistance Program.
“We separate the foods that customers have purchased and donated at the Commissary and then we bag the meals. We help wherever ACS needs us,” she said.
“I love it. The season is all about giving back,” Lee said.
Beginning Nov. 26, there will be three Angel Trees for community members to visit with tags that list clothing sizes and a wish gift for an individual child. Those trees will be at the Exchange and at both the Hainerberg and Clay Chapels.
