WIESBADEN, Germany -- Soldiers, family members, civilians and crews from the Directorate of Public Works are busy wrapping up the annual U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Fall Clean Up initiative.
The event began on Monday, Nov. 15 when units began cleaning and tidying areas around their buildings, as well as common areas around the garrison. The week-long initiative wrapped up today with a focus on the housing areas.
“We are having piles of fun,” said Sgt. Phillip Ingram cheekily, as he raked leaves into piles.
Fall Clean Up is organized by DPW and empowers the community to clean up their communal work and living spaces of debris before the cold winter weather arrives. DPW scheduled an extra bulk trash pickup today to give residents the opportunity to declutter their homes as well.
