Retirees gathered in the main conference room at the Mission Command Center Oct. 30 for the opening of the Retiree Appreciation Day by Brig. Gen. Jed Schaertl, the deputy commanding general for mobilization and reserve affairs, U.S. Army Europe and Africa. Retirees were able to take advantage of getting flu and COVID vaccines, new ID cards, dental services and more during the day's services.
