Rupp, Commander, U.S. Forces Japan, right, presents Logistics Specialist (Submarine) 2nd Class Cody Doyle with a coin while visiting Commander, Submarine Group 7. Submarine Group 7 directs submarine activities throughout the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea; including two forward-deployed submarine tenders, five ocean surveillance ships when tasked for theater anti-submarine warfare operations, two oceanographic survey vessels, and two attack submarines forward-deployed to the island of Guam.
