Col. Carlos Tamez, outgoing commander of the 3rd Medical Training Brigade, addressed the troops during the 3rd MTB change of command ceremony Oct. 16 in San Antonio, Texas. Tamez, a Weslaco, Texas resident, retired after more than three decades of service in the Army including deployments to South America, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and multiple deployments to Iraq.
