U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Sara Buhr, senior enlisted leader for the Mission Command Support Group, 88th Readiness Division, laterally promotes Cpl. Joseph Kennedy, a student at the Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Fort McCoy, Wis., during a ceremony Oct. 26, 2021. The ceremony comes after an Army policy stating that all Soldiers in the rank of specialist who complete the Basic Leader Course and are recommended for promotion at a board will be laterally promoted to corporal.
