The 402nd Army Field Support Battalion-Hawaii command team (Maj. David Paddock right, Lt. Col. Tim Page center, Sgt. Maj. Maurice Carter left) watch as members of their Modernization, Displacement, and Repair site are presented awards by Maj. Joe Yu, the S4 from 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, for their outstanding work assisting 2/25 IBCT relieve excess equipment.
The MDRS initiative, announced last fall by the U.S. Army Materiel Command, supports the Regionally Aligned Readiness and Modernization Model, or ReARMM. The goal of establishing a regionally located MDRS is to give Soldiers an easier, more efficient way to turn in outdated equipment and equipment that needs to be divested because it no longer aligns with a unit’s mission.
