U.S. Army Spc. Eduardo Duenas-Rocha, assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, fires a 60mm mortar with the M224A1 mortar system during the 60mm live fire portion of the Infantry Mortar Leaders Course (IMLC) at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, 22 Oct. 2021. During the 5- week course, Soldiers from 173rd Airborne Brigade and 2D Cavalry Regiment gain the knowledge to compute fire missions by both analog and digital means, and supervise and direct high angle fires from a mortar element.
