NAVAL BASE GUAM (Oct. 22, 2021) - German Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Silberhorn visited U.S. Naval Base Guam. While at NBG, Silberhorn visited German Navy Frigate FGS Bayern (F 217). Silberhorn has been a member of the German Bundestag, the national parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany, since 2002. As the Parliamentary State Secretary, Silberhorn assists the Federal Minister of Defence and represents the interests of the Directorates-General regarding equipment, including international armaments policy, planning, budget and controlling, legal affairs, infrastructure, environmental protection and services.
